Jada Scheppert, Secretary

Jada Scheppert has lived in the Neosho area for 38 years. She has worked for Crowder College since 1995. Jada graduated from East Newton High School in 1982 and Crowder College in 2001.

She and her husband Ward live on a farm outside of Neosho and enjoy the outdoor life. She takes pleasure in her horse, dog, cats, chicken and cattle. Jada enjoys riding horses, swimming, canoeing and anything outside. She and her husband have a Harley Davidson Touring Motorcycle and enjoy riding, especially to the Western States. She also enjoys spending time with her parents, three sisters and their children.

Jada's future plans are to finish a degree in Elementary Education.

Diane Prewitt, Guidance Counselor

Diane Prewitt has been a school counselor for 15 years. She is a Crowder graduate and has a Masters in Guidance & Placement from Missouri State University. Diane is also a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Missouri.

Matthew Bond

Matthew Bond graduated from Seneca High School in 1983; in 1990 he graduated from Crowder College in the Construction Technology program. He was employed for six and one half years at Branco enterprises; during the last three and one half years he was the Job Superintendent. His expertise was in constructing schools.

During his years at Branco he completed four years in the apprenticeship program. He has a Master Commercial Carpenter Certification. He received the Cutting Edge award for his excellent performance as an apprentice. Matt was the first student to obtain his certification from the Southwest Apprenticeship program. Matt was also an instructor for the apprenticeship program. Also while working for Branco, Matt was an evaluator and instructor for the apprentice program.

Matt has been an instructor at Crowder College for seven years and is most proud of his efforts in participating in the VICA program with students who have been to state and national competitions.
Matt has proven to have a strong connection with industry by participating with the Home Builders and Tri State Contractor Associations. Matt has placed several students with these associations.

Matt has participated as a program planner for five years and he has also acted as the Construction Chairman for MTTA. His involvement with DESE and its representatives have helped to update the knowledge of instructors over the state of Missouri.

Jerry Bonebrake

Jerry Bonebrake is a native of McDonald county and has lived in Pineville all of his life on the Elk and Big Sugar River. He graduated from McDonald County High School in 1990. During his junior and senior year he attended CCTEC and studied welding.

Upon graduation Bonebrake continued his studies at Tulsa Welding school. he has worked in almost every state in the union as a welder. He has worked on several different jobs such as power plants,refineries, ethanol plants, poultry, beef and corn plants. Jerry worked for GE, Conoco, Exxon, Westinghouse, Liquid Carbonics and CF and I steel. Bonebrake has become a specialist in (GTAW) Tig and (SMAW) stick welding on pipe and structural steel. He is proficient in carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome and aluminum.

Jerry Bonebrake came to work for CCTEC in 2002. He enjoys hunting, fishing and a nice looking weld.

Curtis Daniels was born in Neosho Missouri. He graduated from Seneca High School in 1976. Curtis spent the next twenty years serving his country in the United States Navy. His duty stations included; San Diego California, Great Lakes Illinois, Norfolk Virginia, and Virginia Beach Virginia.

Curtis married Brenda Connell from Seneca in 1978. Curtis and Brenda have four children; Kristofer, currently serving in the United States Navy aboard the USS Enterprise, Patrick Shaun employed by Branco Construction and a student at Crowder College, Aaron a junior at Seneca High School, and Justin a sophomore at Seneca High School.

Doug Donnel

Mr. Donnel joined the Crowder Staff as collision repair instructor in August 2004. Doug owned and operated Advanced Automotive Collision Repair since 1990. He has training in Chief Frame and
Dupont paint. Mr Donnel is an ASE certified Master Collision Repair Technition. Doug attended Webb City High School. He and his family reside in Carl Junction.

Jana Kidd has lived in Neosho over five years and has been a Four-State resident for 30+ years. She enjoys time with her husband, Vince, and daughters Jaclyn and Natalie.

Kathryn McCann

Kathryn graduated from Dade County High School (Florida) in 1977. She relocated to Northwest Arkansas where she began her career in electronics and drafting. She worked for Crouzet/Gordos as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician. Her strengths consisted of product design, thick film hybrid construction and production, Yag laser technician, and manufacturing support. Kathryn returned to college in 1995 when the company relocated to Mexico.

Kathryn attended Crowder College and pursued the Drafting and Design Degree. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, served one semester as Treasurer of the Industrial Technology Club, and three semesters as President of the club. She maintained a 4.0 GPA and graduated with highest honors in 1997. Kathryn became the secondary drafting instructor at Crowder College in 1997 and in 2000 she became the secondary electronics instructor. She is part of the adjunct faculty, teaching classes in both areas of study for the college.

Kathryn is a member of MCCA, MOACTE, ACTE, and she is an active Skills USA VICA adviser. She is a mother of three and grandmother of one. Her hobbies include crocheting, cooking and working on the farm.

Kevin Newby

Kevin Newby is the Drafting & Design Instructor in the Technology Department at Crowder College, teaching vo-tech and college classes. He graduated from Memorial High School in Joplin, MO in 1976. He has an Industrial Arts Education Degree from Missouri Southern State College in 1992 and an Associate Degree in Drafting & Design in 1995.

Kevin owned and operated an automotive repair business thirteen years in Joplin during which he returned to school to obtain his degrees. After graduation he worked part time in the Joplin R-8 Schools at Joplin High School and Joplin Junior High. He coached 8th grade football. Kevin also worked for Empire District Electric Company as a draftsman in the substation division of their engineering department. Kevin went to work full time for the Joplin R-8 School District working at North Middle School, Memorial Middle School and Joplin High School at Franklin Technology Center. He taught and coached in the Joplin system for six years. Kevin was hired at Crowder College for the college drafting program in September 1999, he took over the high school program in August 2001.

Galeon Smith

Galeon Smith has been the auto mechanics instructor since 1998. Before coming to Crowder College he owned and operated his own automotive repair business for twenty-one years, servicing the general public's vehicles and running an automotive machine shop. For twelve years he contracted with a school district to maintain their fleet of vehicles.

Smith graduated from Pineville High School in McDonald county. He married his childhood sweetheart in 1966, they have two daughters and thoroughly enjoy six grand children. In addition to his responsibilities at Crowder College, Galeon is also an ordained minister and pastors a church in Bella Vista, Arkansas.

Galeon feels like his students are important to him, and they
sometimes accuse him of acting like a "Dad."

Jim Williams

Jim Williams attended Seneca High School and graduated in 1984. He worked in the machining industry for two years before beginning his college studies at Crowder College in 1986. Upon graduation from Crowder in 1988, Jim worked for five years in the maintenance field. In 1993 Jim started working with special needs students at Seneca Elementary School where "he found his calling".

In 1995 he applied for and accepted the building maintenance teaching position at CCTEC. Since that time, Jim has added additional responsibilities by teaching the vocational preparation class, which is a class for special needs students.

Jim is married,has two children and still lives in the Seneca area. His areas of interest are fishing, hunting, and high school wrestling.
